The Old Eyre Arms an oasis of quality set in one of the most beautiful parts of Derbyshire, lying north of the old market town of Bakewell (famous for its Bakewell puddings, not tart) in the centre of the Peak District National Park close to Chatsworth House & the Monsal Trail at Hassop Station.
Formally a farmstead and 17th Century Coaching Inn, A grade II listed building, built by the Eyre Family in the early 1600s, first registered as a public house in 1753, the inn took it’s name from the Eyre Family who owned much of the surrounding land. These origins are evident in the huge coat of arms painted above the carved stone fireplace.
